Background

I went to Niagara College for Game Development and failed LOL. While it was something I had always wanted to do, I played around with Unity once I was out of the Game Development program. Over the years, I became more and more familiar with Unity and was surprised to realize that I can now actually code a game from start to finish simply through years of tutorials and sheer trial and error.

Simply creative

To put it simply, I have always been creative. Sometimes I'll have dreams about game ideas, and I'll wake up in the middle of the night to write them down. Or sometimes I won't even sleep at all. I just like to make casual, atmospheric games with good stories that people will enjoy and, ultimately, remember.

Most of my game ideas are inspired by games that I love and I enjoy incorporating various things in my games that evoke the same feelings I got from some of my favorite gaming experiences.

Why Bonemeal?

I established Bonemeal Productions as a sort of umbrella LLC to license all of my games under. I figured it was time to establish an appropriate production brand and to set up a home for all of my creations. The name is simply an extension of my online username. The fish is something I bought from Spirit Halloween. I just think he's neat. His name is Fred (not to be confused with his cousin, Freddi).

Is Manny's your first game ever?

Yes. Manny's is my first ever published video game. I made one game before this that was a puzzle game played through Twitch chat, which you can find on my Youtube channel here! However, that game was not published and it was free. Just for fun! I have no experience writing anything professional, nor do I have any formal video game development experience. I had no experience making music either! Almost everything you see in Manny's was made by me and there was almost exactly no experience with any of those things prior to this game's launch. It's my first time doing any of this.
